Jieh-Yung was the Founding Director of the Centre for Asian-Australian Leadership (CAAL) at the Australian National University, a centre that aims to provide solutions through evidence-based research to tackle the 'bamboo ceiling’ in Australia and address the significant under-representation of Asian-Australians in leadership positions within Australian public institutions and major private sector corporations.
As CAAL's founding director, Jieh-Yung was a key architect behind the formation of CAAL and spearheaded the Centre’s growth from ideas validation stage to startup and scale up in developing a solid portfolio of academic research projects, delivering outreach events and training programs, establishing financial sustainability and building the foundations of a highly active and engaged community of professionals, leaders and entrepreneurs of Asian-Australian heritage across all industries and sectors.
Inspired by his experiences working with aspiring leaders from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds, Jieh-Yung is currently working on a startup that aims to cultivate the credibility of professionals and leaders.
